a Lesser Version

a Lesser Version

a Lesser Version is a songwriter called Liam Evans that plays and releases music with a band that is also called a Lesser Version. Crafting heartfelt and homemade songs, a Lesser Version stretches from shoegaze to folk via emo and electronica, all with a distinctly DIY ethos. Their music has been supported by the likes of TheNeedleDrop and BBC 6Music, and they are currently working on finishing up their 3rd album which has been engineered alongside Ollie Roper (Gladness, Trout, Mewn) and mixed by Yuri Shibuichi (Honeyglaze, Tapir!, Mary in the Junkyard).

These latest songs feature each member of the a Lesser Version band for the first time ever, having been recorded at the band’s new studio space which is also home to a choice selection of fellow Merseyside collectives and artists, including Klof and Astles.
